Love Yourself Weekend

Here at Elite Bridal, we know it’s not just about loving the dress – it’s about loving the way you look in it.  That’s why on the 2nd and 3rd of November, we’re planning a whole weekend to celebrate everything you love about yourself! ‘Love Yourself Weekend’ is the brainchild of Elite Bridal’s Director of Retail, Holly-Ann Wilson, who’s working hard to usher in a new era of self-confidence and self-love for our brides. “Sizing has been a hot topic in the media this year,” says Holly.  “A lot of fashion brands have received praise for stocking styles for all sizes. “As our brides are probably already aware, the bridal industry is a lot slower to catch up than high street fashion, and hasn’t adapted as quickly to what real brides are looking for… however, Elite have!” As we hope you’re already aware, one of the things we’re proudest of here at Elite Bridal is that all of our boutiques stock sizes 6-26. Our in-house design team, who work with our Elite Brides every day, are also proud to say that they design each and every dress in our collection with real brides in mind. We know that the perfect wedding dress can’t just be picked from a bridal magazine or off a hanger.  What really matters is that when you put it on, you feel like your best and most confident self – completely comfortable and at ease, and the person you want your future husband or wife to see walking down the aisle. “We’re all beautiful women,” says Holly, “and we should all feel beautiful when shopping for our dream dress.” So if you book your appointment with us on the 2nd and 3rd of November, you’ll be invited to share the thing you most love about yourself and add it to our Love Yourself Weekend wall. Thank you for attending our Elite Bridal show last week!

We loved sharing our new collections with Castleford & Pontefract last week, but not as much as we loved your reactions to them! Our latest Elite Bridal Show was at Kings Croft Hotel in Pontefract, just down the road from our Castleford store. We showed our brand new collection, which will be arriving in all Elite Bridal boutiques for 2020, and hosted some amazing local wedding suppliers too!   We’ve had so many messages from brides and their tribes since, so we know you love our gorgeous new collection as much as we do. If you’re interested in any of these gowns, don’t hesitate to drop us a message through our social media – find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @EliteBridalUK All the gowns we showed on Sunday are currently available in our Castleford boutique, and will be until 3rd November. If you saw something you really loved and have an appointment booked later in the year, drop us a message so we can make sure it’s available during your appointment!  Our lovely Castleford team, who you met on the day, will be more than happy to accommodate. If you didn’t pick up their contact details, don’t worry – just keep scrolling!   The makeup for our beautiful models was provided by Lisa Cooper Makeup and Helen SFX & Makeup.  Their beautiful hairstyles were by Mitchell Phillips Hairdressing, based right in the centre of Pontefract. The beautiful (and delicious!) rose gold confectionary was provided by Marija’s Cakes, and Chloëbeth provided an amazing soundtrack for the event.  The Bridal Events Company provided the gorgeous backdrop to the show. Celebrating our beautiful brides

Last weekend we asked brides to tell us what they loved about themselves – and we loved what they shared! We loved the atmosphere in store last weekend and wanted to share some of our favourite quotes from beautiful brides. More than 50 lovely ladies contributed, including brides, their bride tribes and our own bridal advisors. We absolutely loved reading what you loved about what you see in the mirror, and your advice to other brides and women in general.  So we wanted to share them! We offered free garters to all the gorgeous ladies who tagged us on social media over the weekend. If you tagged us but didn’t collect your free gift, don’t worry – just chat to your bridal advisor and show her the tag! All brides were also automatically entered into a prize draw to win three beautiful veils, handmade by our designers and the only ones of their kind!  Each veil reads ‘Be Beautiful, Be You’ in subtle crystal lettering trim. On Monday we announced that our lucky winners were Danielle Whitaker, Annabelle Prescot and Charlotte Amy Reynolds. Our Christmas Bridal Show in Hull!

We’ve decided to hold one more Elite Bridal Show before Christmas, and we’re taking the event back to Hull! Our latest Elite Bridal Show for Castleford & Pontefract brides was a huge hit.  We loved sharing our collections, as well as showcasing some amazing local wedding suppliers, and giving brides-to-be a chance to meet the design team behind our gowns. This show will be the first time we show our new styles for 2020, never before seen and not yet available in our boutiques! This will include new bridesmaid dresses and some gorgeous new bridal accessories.  As always tickets are completely free, but we ask brides and their tribes to drop us a message and book in advance.  This is purely to reserve your freebies. We will also be offering brides a showcase of local wedding suppliers and some amazing freebies as well – including a glass of bubbly and a mince pie! We’ve decided to hold this next Elite Bridal Show in our Hull boutique itself.  The boutique underwent a glamorous renovation earlier this year, which has already had some amazing feedback from our Hull brides.    The event will be running throughout our regular opening hours on Sunday, 11am-4pm.  We will also be taking appointments as normal for brides who know they’d love to try on some gowns on the day – click here to book.
