Dream Wedding on a Budget

Kim Woolnough, 24, a community nurse from Durham, and her new hubby Dan, 22, a sales executive, managed to organise their entire dream wedding for £3000 by using some unconventional ideas. Firstly, Kim used out-of-date food that was to be thrown away for all of the wedding food on the day. This alone will have saved anywhere between £500-1000. It was put together by a charity who source food from local supermarkets, bakeries and small businesses which would otherwise have gone in the bin. Then instead of buying a wedding dress from a designer costing £1000’s or even a bridal outlet like ourselves costing £100’s, Kim bought her wedding dress on Gumtree. This shows the shift in mindset of the new younger generations who aren’t afraid to risk the purchase of a special item like a wedding dress by using the internet. Credit to Kim though, as when she went to pick up the wedding dress she “instantly fell in love with it”. After a few alterations it was perfect. The couple decided to have a low cost wedding and use as much recycled and second hand materials as possible. They even had their rings made from recycled metal by a seller on the popular Etsy and their wedding invitations were made out of 100 per cent recycled paper. We applaud Kim and Dan for showing you can still have a dream wedding without splashing the cash. In some ways, it makes it more personal and special to organise it in this way. Whilst Kim managed to find an amazing dress for only £80 on Gumtree, others looking to do the same may not be so lucky. Prince harry’s Engagement

Yes Ladies.. Its true! I know all your hearts must be aching as the Handsome Prince Harry has proposed to his beautiful Fiance Meghan markle. The Gorgeous couple are due to marry at St George’s Chapel, in Windsor Castle this May. They say the wedding will be a “moment of fun and joy” in a celebration for family, friends and the public. In Interviews Harry was asked what he thinks his Mum Princess Diana would have thought of his new Fiance, Beaming Harry responded with ‘I think she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, so excited for me, but then, as I said, she would have probably been best friends – best friends with Meghan.You know, it is days like today I really miss having her around and miss being able to share the happy news. But, you know, with the ring and with everything else that’s going on, I’m sure she’s with us’. So hasnt this got us all thinking… what will the beautiful Meghan Markle wear on her big day?
