With the lockdown in place, our designers are taking the time to get extra creative! We love giving our brides the opportunity to make the gown they choose as unique as they are – it’s one of the best things about having our design team based right here in Yorkshire. Over the last few weeks they’ve been working on brand new accessories and design components to complement your dream dress. These beautiful draped pearls are a unique way to add something extra to your gown, whether you’re going for a boho touch or chic Gatsby glamour. We can build them into the straps on your gown.  If you love this look but the gown you’ve fallen for is strapless, don’t worry – we can build you the straps to match! Because our gowns are designed in-house, our designers are able to match the material used in your gown to any finishing touches we create.  This means that once we’re finished you’ll have a truly seamless look – the finished dress will be unique to you, and you won’t even be able to tell it’s been altered. If you want a little more coverage up top, we can look at thicker straps like these. We can also add appliques to your straps or sleeves to tie this in with your gown. This style is perfect to create a tiny, fluttering cap sleeve – and also looks beautiful off-the-shoulder. As well as matching the materials we use, we will also build the design seamlessly into the structure of your dress. We carry all the components for these additions in each of our boutiques, so during your very first appointment your bridal advisor will be able to show you a lot of the possibilities for altering the gown you’ve chosen. Every single gown you look at during your first appointment will have possibilities for alteration.  Our bridal advisors know every design in our boutiques like the back of their hand, so they will be able tell you what kind of alterations will be possible for that style. AO Advert Filmed at Elite Bridal Outlets

Elite Bridal Outlets were invited to host the latest advert for online appliance giants AO.com at our Castleford store. After already having ‘Don’t Tell The Bride’ at our Castleford store, we felt confident having another TV production company in to show off our amazing wedding dresses. After having ‘Don’t Tell The Bride’ film an episode in our Castleford outlet, we experienced what it was like to have a TV production company in-store and witnessed how they create the episodes. So when the ad team turned up to film AO’s latest advert, we thought we knew what we would be in for. How wrong we were. The sheer number of people to coordinate the advert was astonishing. There seemed to be someone for every single role: hair/makeup, lighting technician, sound technician, video producer, filming director and the list goes on. All for a few seconds filming. Even though our outlet in Castleford is of considerable size, having 30+ people with all the filming equipment quickly took up most of the floor space. It is evident why were chosen for this advert, because of the size of our store. Most other stores wouldn’t be able to accommodate the amount of people and equipment needed for a professional TV advert. It was amazing to experience the ‘behind the scenes’ of filming a TV ad to be broadcasted across all major networks at peak times in the UK. We hope we are invited to do another advert at our brand new flagship store in Huddersfield. As a growing business in Yorkshire, it was also good for our exposure to see our store on the advert and one of our brand new styles. The ‘bride to be’ in the advert was wearing a princess cut, tulle wedding dress with an embellished bodice and illusion neckline. Bride Discovers Wedding Venue is Pokemon Hotspot

It seems impossible to escape the PokemonGo craze at the moment as it has completely swept the nation. It is entertaining not only young children and teenagers, but many adults too. Seemingly, everyone loves Pokemon, no more so than husband of bride Elizabeth Corps. He was in for a surprise when the venue for their wedding, the Woodlands Park Hotel in Cobham, turned out to be a poke gym. This is a place where gamers go and declare battle with fellow players. After already breaking records for been the most downloaded app in it’s first week ever topping over 15 million downloads, it is safe to assume the location based app was always going to conflict with a wedding venue sooner or later. The app creates ‘PokeStops’, points of interest such as museums, churches and halls, where players can find Pokemon and also battle with fellow players. It seems the game developers chose the Woodlands Park Hotel in Cobham as a location for a PokeStop and gym, much to the delight of the guests. As the guests quickly learned that the wedding venue was an important Pokemon location, they started to catch the virtual creatures and commence battles with one another. This even continued during the wedding service as the picture above shows. The app works by superimposing the virtual creatures over the real-life image through the camera showing Pokemon that are available to catch. Elite bridal outlets are yet to investigate our 3 bridal outlets in Hull, Castleford & Huddersfield. They could be hotspots. Unfortunately we haven’t had crowds of people wondering in to our outlets glued to their phones yet. There could be a rare virtual creatures lurking between the dress rails. Whilst we at Elite haven’t quite caught on to the Pokemon craze we do endorse the physical exercise involved. If it gets these kids out of the house and walking around, it can’t be too bad. Although there have been reports of Pokemon related injuries due to the nature of the game. It has been reported that many injuries can be sustained whilst playing the game. Walking around looking down at your phone and paying no attention to anything around you does seen very dangerous. This article talks about death by PokemonGo which hopefully will be for the very unlucky few.
